La Colegiata Santa María la Real de Sar was erected in the XII century, at the peak of Romanesque.

It is located in the outskirts of the city. The plant has a basilical form, it has three naves segmented by decorated columns with natural motifs. It is covered by barrel vaults with arch-shaped reinforcements. Three apses make up the head, two of them in semicircle and the other one as a poligon. The rose and stained glass windows are in charge of lighting the interior. Master Mateo left his print in the decoration of the cloister's capital. In the XVII and XVIII century a small tower and strong flying buttress were constructed outside the church, attracting visitor's attention.
