Monuments in Galicia

In Galicia is possible to find, a little bit unexpected, architectural masterpieces. And they are not really scattered throughout space. This richness comes to Galicia thanks to its capital, Santiago de Compostela, a pilgrim's destination. The pilgrimage of Santiago offers a wide range of architectural styles, above all romanesque.
There are as well interesting constructions. The "castros celtas" were built well before the middle ages. The museum of contemporary art was built ,close to the district of San Pedro, in the 90's by the portuguese architect Álvaro Siza.
