Due to its beauty, the native species which houses and the views from its top, the Monte Pindo is an unique place in the geography of Galicia. There are many legends about this mount which has been called by the romantic historian as the Celtic Olimpe.

The mount Pindo, as well known as A Moa, is a granitic massif located in Carnota, between the estuaries of Corcubión, Muros and Noia. Next to the beach of Carnota, the longest of Galicia, shapes the natural space of Carnota – Monte Pindo, classified as Place of Community Importance with an extension of 4629 hectares and included in Natura Network 2000. It is highest point is 627 meter high above sea level.
